CAN-DO's Eric Klein Meets with Mayors of Croix Des Bouqet in Haiti
CAN-DO met with the mayors of Croix Des Bouquet today. In a collaborative effort with the Haitian government, we will be launching the Haiti Domes Project. On Sat, Jan 15th, CAN-DO will start building the school. The school was destroyed by the earthquake so the kids are forced to have their classes outside, in cramped conditions, under hot tents, exposed the elements. CAN-DO Delivering Emergency Aid to Orphanages in Haiti
Field Report from Eric in Haiti: The CAN-DO team is currently on the ground in Haiti and has arrived at the Men-Sove Orphanage (“Hands in Hands Save”) in Boucan, Kenscoff — about 40 miles outside Port-au-Prince. More than 60 children , ages 4–10, are living here in extremely fragile conditions. The orphanage has five reported cases of cholera and has already suffered two child fatalities .
