On the Ground in Haiti: CAN-DO Exposes the Corruption Big NGOs Don’t Want You to See

Ok, ready for this? You can’t make this sh*t up.I’ve been on the ground in Haiti for the past week (details on the project at the end), but the real purpose of this post is to let you in on some absolutely insane intel we were tipped off to while here.

And before I dive in — yes, I know people are tired of hearing about Haiti, especially with all the chaos happening here at home. But being on the ground, seeing what Haitians continue to go through, and knowing you — the donors who sent BILLIONS after the earthquake — deserve the truth… I’m speaking up again.

Last week, some local leaders approached us with overwhelming evidence pointing to one major American-run organization doing some truly unfathomable, corrupt things in Haiti. And let’s be clear — this isn’t some tiny nonprofit scraping by. Last year alone, they pulled in over $300 million in donations and goods from Americans, all supposedly earmarked for Haiti. And according to their own public records? That money is unaccounted for.

Stay tuned — because we confronted them face-to-face last week. Their name stays anonymous for now, until my team and Haitian partners finish the investigation and ensure these crooks are held accountable to both their donors and the people they’re profiting off.

What they claim on their website looks great. What we’ve seen on the ground? A TOTALLY different story. And I’m beyond done with it.

Honestly? YOU should be done with it too. And imagine how Haitians feel — they can’t speak up without being bullied, discredited, or retaliated against.

And here’s my challenge to anyone working for or donating to any of these big-box NGOs in Haiti:Show me one shred of evidence that your “results” even remotely match the money you pull in.Just one.

Now, this isn’t to discourage giving. There are great, accountable organizations out there that do real work on the ground. Just do your homework. Don’t fall for the usual suspects (looking at you, Red Cross). They’ll keep getting away with it if we keep giving them a pass.

For those curious about what we were doing here:We wrapped a food distribution project and outfitted an orphanage with a new water well, electric pump, and filtration system — using a local Haitian water filtration company that will check and replace the filter every six months. Kids drinking clean water for years… at a cost of just a few thousand dollars.
