CAN-DO returned to Haiti with Whitney Stallard’s family and friends to complete the rebuild of the Bless A Child Orphanage — a project that began in October 2011 and meant the world to all of us.

This mission was led by Felicia Stallard, Whitney’s mom. Whitney joined us on our November 2011 trip, showing up with heart, grit, and a spirit far beyond his years. Just weeks after returning home, the world lost Whitney at only 21 years old.

He was an incredible kid — the kind you don’t forget — and we were honored to have shared that experience with him.

This return trip was about finishing what we started… but it was also about honoring Whitney. Standing alongside his mom and friends as we rebuilt the orphanage was a reminder of the impact one person can have, and how community carries that legacy forward.
