Field Report from Eric in Haiti:The CAN-DO team is currently on the ground in Haiti and has arrived at the Men-Sove Orphanage (“Hands in Hands Save”) in Boucan, Kenscoff — about 40 miles outside Port-au-Prince. More than 60 children, ages 4–10, are living here in extremely fragile conditions. The orphanage has five reported cases of cholera and has already suffered two child fatalities. They are in urgent need of medical personnel.
Today we delivered a critical emergency supply drop, thanks to the generosity of Lisa Rado:
400 lbs of rice
220 lbs of beans
3 cases of milk
Cooking oilTotal cost: $400
We’ll share GPS coordinates and additional updates as we continue assessing needs and providing support. The situation is serious, and the kids here desperately need help.
